Mumbai shocker: Delivery boy tries to molest 21-year-old girl

Mumbai, Aug 27: In a shocking incident here in Mumbai, a restaurant delivery man tried to molest a 21-year-old girl at her house on August 23.

The 40-year-old accused, Kanhaiyalal Kalal escaped from the spot and police are looking for him.

According to the police, "The girl, who stays at Borivli East, ordered food from a restaurant named Rampal's China Everest Family Restaurant at Dahisar."

The victim was alone at home when Kalal arrived at her residence around 8:30 pm with food.

Kala called the girl when she was about to go inside to get the money to pay him. He entered the house and removed his trousers and tried to molest her. The girl screamed and fought back.

Hearing the girl's scream, some neighbours rushed to her residence. Though they tried to catch the accused he escaped from the incident spot.

According to the restaurant manager Narayan Bhataria, Kalal was lingering near the restaurant three days before the incident, asking for job.

Before joining the restaurant, the accused used to work at a tea stall. Sunday was a rush day and Kalal was asked to deliver the order to the victim's residence.

The accused is a resident of Rajasthan and is said to be mentally challenged.

The girl's parents lodged a complaint with Dahisar police station.
