Mumbai: 112 Indians from Ebola-hit Liberia to arrive today
It is suspected that the Indian nationals were exposed to the deadly Ebola virus in Liberia. Screening and precautionary arrangements have been set up at the airport. Authorities said that the passengers would be arriving by several flights.
Reports suggest that the each aircraft will be taken to an isolated bay and all the passengers would be screened. If any passenger is found sufferring with Ebola like symptoms, he/ she will be shifted to the nearest hospital for treatment.Those who will clear the screening will be allowed to proceed to the immigration counters.
The Delhi airport too is taking all precautionary measures needed and is screening passengers travelling from Ebola hit countries.
Eithiopian Airlines, Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, Emirates and South African Airways will be arriving with the Indian nationals onboard.
