Mumbai, April 16: With the Lok Sabha elections less than ten days away in Mumbai, many Bollywood stars have been appealing to the public to step out and vote.

The latest celebrity to join the bandwagon is the renowned singer and actress Salma Agha, who was a Bollywood sensation during 1980s and the early 1990s.

Agha on Wednesday campaigned for Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate Pushpa Milind Bhole, who is contesting from Goregaon constituency in north-west Mumbai.

Agha joined BSP's "Padyatra" election campaign on the fourth day and appealed voters to vote for Pushpa Milind Bhole.

During the roadshow, Agha said, "Pushpa Ji's message is clear: only a woman can understand a woman's problems, which is why people should vote for her. Pushpaji is the best candidate in your North West constituency and she always work for needy people."

Pushpa Milind Bhole, is a social worker, who is known to fight for the rights of senior citizens and widows.

Pushpa told voters, "I will not cheat you like the others have just give me one chance to prove myself to you. Your vote is very important so be careful before pressing of voting machine. Give your vote to right person who work for you."

Thousands of people from North-West area came forward to support Pushpa Milind Bhole and to have a glimpse of the actress Salma Agha.

Mumbai goes to polls on April 24.
