Narvekar, who recently withdrew his candidature from the legislative council elections, met Pawar recently in Pune. He recently was quoted as saying, "I was extremely hurt with the way Shiv Sena has handled certain sensitive issues."
"I am disturbed about the withdrawal issue. I think my party should have clarified about it," Narvekar said, saying that he had withdrawn his candidature after being told to do so by the Sena.
Meanwhile, it is being speculated that Narvekar, who is Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ramraje Naik Nimbalkar's son-in-law, is likely to contest from Maval Lok Sabha seat.
According to sources, Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, NCP candidates Hemant Takle, Kiran Pawaskar and Congress leader Narayan Rane are in touch with Narvekar.
