Mumbai, Dec 7: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt seems to have been enjoying special privileges for being a powerful celebrity. Days after his return to Pune's Yerwada jail, the actor -- a convict in Bombay Blasts 1993 case, once again got chance to spend 30 more days with his family at his residence in Mumbai.

The actor on Friday, Dec 6 was granted parole for one month. According to sources, a session court in Pune granted parole to Dutt as his wife Maanyata is unwell. Earlier Dutt could not celebrate Diwali with his family but this time he will celebrate New Year with his kids and 'unwell' wife.

Here it can be recalled that Dutt earlier in Oct 1 was granted parole for two weeks on medical ground. Later it was extended for two more weeks. He returned to jail on Oct 31.

Dutt is serving the remaining 42 months of his sentence. Earlier in 2013, he was convicted by the Supreme Court and sentenced to five years in prison. He has already served 18 months of his term.

A confusion regarding Dutt's jail term remains unsolved. RR Patil, Maharashtra Home Minister recently informed that his ministry has not received any communication from the central government on the issue of granting a remission of sentence or pardon to incarcerated the Bollywood actor.

The actor's sister Priya Dutt, who is also a Congress MP from Mumbai, did not approach state home ministry, informed Patil. Patil's statement surfaced when Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member and leader of the opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council Vinod Tawade opposed any proposal to grant Sanjay Dutt pardon.
