Salman Khan defends PM Modi, says he deserves more time
Khan, who had joined Modi at a kite-flying ceremony in Ahmedabad in January this year and also attended his swearing-in ceremony as the prime minister in May, said the latter needs more some to prove himself.
The 49-year-old actor said in a country where people refuse to take responsibility, Modi has taken up the responsibility to run the entire country. He said one knows how much it is difficult to run one's household and Modi has taken up the job of running the country.
Khan also stressed the importance of Modi having full freedom in making decisions. He said Modi has been unanimously elected as the country's prime minister and hence he should be given the respect. He also applauded the PM for extending a helping hand to the flood-affected areas in Pakistan.
Khan also lauded Modi's drumming skills, which he exhibited during his recent visit to Japan.
Khan had said during his meeting with Modi in Ahmedabad in January that the latter needn't apologise for the Gujarat riots of 2002. [Read...]
