Bollywood actor Abhay Deol's SUV car stolen in Mumbai

, Sept 27: It seems nothing but a mere irony that a man, who played a role of a clever thief in reel life, has now become a victim of a major thievery in real life.

actor Abhay Deol's SUV car -- Mitsubishi Pajero has been stolen from a residential area at Santa Cruz.

The actor filed a complaint with Santa Cruz police saying that his car was parked outside Madhuban Society on Wednesday, Sept 25. However, the actor could not find the car the next morning.

Police officials began their investigation and have been trying to get some information from CCTV cameras installed at the surrounding areas. The cops suspect that the vehicle might have been stolen in the wee hours of Thursday.

Meanwhile, security guard of the area informed that a suspicious car was moving at the area on Wednesday. Police officials were quoted as saying, "We are checking parking lots and isolated spots to trace the SUV."

Abhay Deol had played a role of a thief in the movie -- Oye Lucky Lucky Oye. It is believed that the movie was featured on the infamous thief K Devinder Singh aka 'Bunty Chor' who was arrested by the Kerala Police. The actor's vehicle, a 2008 make, was worth Rs 12 lakh. Interestingly, it even has a special number-MH02 BG 420.
