BJP-Sena alliance crumbles in Maha
Mumbai, Sept 25: After weeks of argument and uncertainty, the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance in Maharashtra crumbled on Thursday, a Times Now report said. Top BJP sources confirmed that they were not okay with the Shiv Sena contesting in 151 seats in the October 15 polls. The break in the 25-year-old alliance means both parties would contest the poll alone, said the party.

The allies have had a growing difference over the seat-sharing in the upcoming polls. The Sena agreed to give the BJP maximum of 130 seats in the polls while preserved 151 for itself and seven for the remaining allies of the Mahayuti (grand alliance).

The Sena later accused the BJP, saying it left the alliance without informing it.
