Mumbai, Oct 15: Bollywood actor and TV reality show Bigg Boss 7 host Salman Khan might be disturbed as court hearing regarding hit and run case involving the actor has been adjourned once again on Tuesday, Oct 15.

According to sources, the court hearing has been adjourned as the judge has taken leave. The court was expected tohear the actor's lawyer and the prosecution on whether the trial should begin afresh or evidence produced earlier by the magistrate should be considered. The court was also supposed to announce its order on Salman's plea to direct the media to correctly report the proceedings of the case.

The 11-year-old case has been haunting Salman who recently had moved the Bombay High Court seeking dismissal of acomplaint filed against him in a magistrate's court in connection with hit and run case.

Salman had filed a petition urging the court to quash the complaint which sought contempt action against the actor for posting details of court cases involving the actor on his website.

Hit and Run case has been haunting Salman Khan for last 11 years

Salman in his plea clarified his stand on creating the website. The Bollywood superstar said that he had launched the site only to ensure that there was no incorrect reporting by the media.

Salman earlier had launched a special website stating, "Certain court cases are filed against me. There is widespread media reporting of these cases. The reports are sometimes inaccurate and misleading, and cause damage to my reputation, both personal and professional."

"I have been advised to put up this website to provide easy accessible information about the ongoing status of these cases," added the statement. Continuing the statement, the actor said, "I encourage all those interested in knowing about the cases, particularly the media, to verify facts available on this site."

Questioning Salman's intention in launching the website, an activist Hemant Patil filed a complaint against him. A magistrate at Bandra court had issued summons to the actor on July 10. Salman was accused of violating law for posting court proceedings on his website -- www.Salmankhanfiles.com.

The complaint alleged that Salman was embroiled in legal cases including the 2002 hit-and-run case involving him and said that by posting court matters on the website, the actor had committed contempt of court as the matters were subjudice.

Salman Khan was arrested on 28th September 2002 for rash and negligent driving. His car had run over four person near a bakery, killing one and injuring three others. Salman was under the influence of alcohol while driving his car when he rammed into the bakery, a chemical analyst who tested his blood after the accident told the trial court. The victims also claim that they had seen the actor in the driving seat after the accident.
