Mumbai, Sep 17: In an incident here, a FIR was filed against a 26-year-old for allegedly thrashing his ex-girlfriend.
According to the complaint filed by the victim, the accused have also threatened to throw acid on her. A case has been filed against Joshua Alvaris, but the police have not arrested the accused.
Joshua and victim were neighbours, they dated each other for two years. The complainant left the accused as he was not ready to give up alcohol and drugs.
The incident happened on Sunday, Sep 13. The victim was returning from her office around 11 pm with her friends. Joshua allegedly came at the spot and dragged the complainant by her hair inside his house.
Joshua took the victim to his bedroom and assaulted her after locking the door from inside. The neighbours informed the victim's father after hearing her scream. The victim's father rushed to the spot and managed to rescue her.
It is alleged that the accused family who was there in the house at the time of incident didn't any thing to prevent the assault. The victim along with her parents went to Malwani police station to file a complaint.
According to victim's father, the police were reluctant to take an action on the accused.
