Video: Congress candidate Nagma asks stranger to get away from her

Meerut (UP), April 2: The Congress has moved the Election Commission, seeking additional protection for its Lok Sabha election candidate from Meerut Nagma, a former Bollywood actress. Nagma, who joined the Congress last month and got a poll ticket, had a bitter experience during campaigning last month when she was inappropriately touched by her own party MLA in Hapur in western Uttar Pradesh.

The repeated occurrences of mishandling forced Cong to seek security for Nagma

On Sunday, the actor-politician faced discomfort when she found an unknown person trying to get close to her while she was giving an interview to Asianet News in Meerut. Nagma was busy giving the interview when she saw the stranger standing beside her. Taken by surprise, she asked the reporters whether that man belonged to their crew. When they said no, the Congress leader asked the man to get away from her.

Also last month, Nagma was allegedly manhandled by an unruly crowd in Meerut as she was going to a rally. The actor was seen slapping one person for trying to misbehave with her.
