UP BJP chief pulls up party members for offering namaz at Modi rally

Meerut, Jan 31: The minority cell members of the BJP state unit offered namaz on Wednesday at the venue for rally of party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in the Meerut district of western Uttar Pradesh.

According to a news report, Uttar Pradesh BJP chief LaxmiKant Bajpai has pulled up party members for offering namaz at rally venue.

The party president reportedly pulled up its minority cell members for offering namaaz from the stage as the rally got delayed.

Modi will address one more rally at Shatabdi Nagar ground in Meerut on Feb 2.

The party landed itself in a soup as the ruling-Samajwadi Party targeted BJP over the issue.

Modi is scheduled to address one more rally at Shatabdi Nagar ground in Meerut on February 2 after which the series of "Shankhnaad" rallies will culminate in a "Maha rally" in Lucknow on March 2.

BJP has 10 Lok Sabha seats in the hindi heartland UP.
