Allahabad, June 13: He has been heard saying this against the Congress-led UPA before coming to power in 2014. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi has now warned leaders of his own party, the BJP, over possession of black money.
According to a report published in Anandabazaar Patrika, Modi has told BJP leaders who assembled in Allahabad for the two-day party's national executive which started on Sunday (June 12) that the government is giving three-month time starting from the current month to announce black money in possession.
If anybody is found possessing it after September 30, the government will take strong action and not let anybody sleep over their black money.
The BJP, however, did not mention about the secret meeting which took place even before the event had started.
Modi warned his party leaders that he would not tolerate anybody having black money in their possession after September and also asked them to make people around them understand the same. The government will not spare even its own members, he said while asking them to announce their black money in advance and pay the fine.
