Kanpur, Oct 16: The love marriage for a couple who were blessed with a five-year-old daughter, took a tragic turn in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday.

In a shocking case of honour killing, the family members of 20-year-old Prabha, hacked her and her mother-in-law to death and brutally chopped off her husband's (25-year-old Kuldeep) hands and legs as they were against their love marriage.

The shameful incident happened when the couple had gone to their village for a function of their five-year-old daughter.

When Prabha's parents got information that their daughter is in their village, they did not even sympathise with their maternal grand-daughter Anshika and threw her in a fit of rage. She is also stated to be in a serious condition.

Now, Kuldeep, whose condition is critical, is battling for life at a hospital in Kanpur.
