Akhilesh Yadav hits out at critics
Lucknow, June 17: Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav, who has been off lately in news for all the wrong reasons on Monday said that 'his critics wanted him to lose, but he would stay strong.'

Following a series of rapes and killings in the state, Yadav and his government were criticised heavily for the lawlessness and handling of such incidents. He said: "Critics are making me strong and they think that I am going to lose. No am going to be strong and I will work more hard."

He said that the critics didn't want to see a young chief minister, hence they would make comments about him.

Akhilesh and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav too have triggered outrage in the past with their comments on incidents of rape. Recently when two Dalit cousins were raped and murdered in Badaun, Akhilesh told a reporter, "You are safe aren't you. Why do you worry? "

Even several Samajwadi Party leaders like Naresh Agarwal too have made outrageous comments on rape and have drawn flak for it.
