Clash over loudspeaker use, 2 arrested in UP
Muzaffarnagar, June 9: Two persons have been arrested in connection with a clash between two communities over the alleged use of loudspeakers in a temple at Dadheru village here, police said on Thursday, June 9.
Moti and Wajid were arrested yesterday after the clash broke out between the two groups, they said.
The trouble started when one group objected to the use of loudspeakers during Ramadan and later entered a temple and damaged the speakers.
A case was registered against 7 persons in this regard, police said, adding efforts are on to arrest the remaining accused. The security has been tightened in the village, they added.
