Anti-Modi Sanjay Joshi participates in PM's Swachh Bharat drive
Lucknow, Jan 14: Do you remember former BJP general secretary Sanjay Joshi? It was only after this RSS man was shunted out of the BJP in mid 2012 that Narendra Modi's rise in the party and the national politics had begun.
On Wednesday, Joshi, who was never meant to be a friend of Modi and had strong differences over party affairs in Gujarat, took part in a Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan programme here. On the occasion, Joshi said Prime Minister Modi started towards a cleaner nation and he came to take part in that campaign. [From archives: Crack in BJP?Anti-Narendra Modi posters surface in Gujarat]

A few days ahead of the programme, hoardings showing Joshi and Modi came up in the state capital. Some sources in the BJP, however, said the cleanliness drive flagged off by Modi was a non-political one and everybody was free to join it.
Other sources said it could be the beginning of the end of Joshi's political isolation. It is said that PM Modi has softened his stand on Joshi since he has moved from Gujarat and now a national personality.
The cleanliness drive programme was organised by the Jagrook Matdata Manch.
