Vishwas, who is the party candidate from Amethi parliamentary Constituency, washed the statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Ambedkar, Rajiv Gandhi and Rajarshi Rananjay Singh and led broom processions in surroundings before garlanding them.

"Since I am from outside, teachings of these great personalities here will always torch my path for good causes," Vishwas said.
The AAP, which quit power in Delhi where it had formed the government under the chief ministership of Arvind Kejriwal in December, recently released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. The party also announced to conduct jhadu yatras in 300 Lok Sabha constituencies ahead of the national polls due in another two months.
Amethi is the seat of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.
