Kolkata, Dec 13: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee lost grip on her vocabulary yet again on Saturday while attacking the opponent over the arrest of her minister Madan Mitra in connection to the Saradha chit fund scam. "Haridas... tomader pichone bamboo dewar odhikar thakle.. gonotontre amar o kotha bolar adhikar acche" (Mr Nobody, if you screw us up, I also have the right to protest in a democracy), local media channels aired the chief minister as saying. [Backing Madan Mitra: Is Mamata afraid?]
Supporters of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) disrupted normalcy across the state to protest Mitra's arrest. Trains were halted and national highways were blocked. Protest rally crippled the state capital and media persons were manhandled. TMC cadre clashed with the police in front of the Alipore court where Mitra was being taken. This is the third time that Mamata Banerjee has made the headlines for uttering indecent words. She spoke about her opponent screwing her up by uttering the words bamboo twice before (shoving the bamboo up the back) in a party and government function, accompanying it with indecent gesture.
