New Delhi, Nov 24: "Mamata Banerjee herself is enough to destroy the Trinamool Congress (TMC), we need to do nothing. The writing is on the wall." This is what BJP president Amit Shah had to say about the chief minister of West Bengal and her party on Sunday, according to a report published in Anandabazaar Patrika. Shah and other top BJP leaders were present at the residence of party patriarch LK Advani.

Shah said the people of the state were fed up with the current state government and would throw it out of power in the next assembly election due in 2016.

The BJP was denied permission to hold Amit Shah's rally in Kolkata on November 30 by the local police last week. The saffron party moved the court subsequently. Shah said it shows how much panic-stricken the Mamata Banerjee government is at the moment.

On Saturday, Banerjee attacked the Centre, CBI and media together at a party function, accusing them of hatching conspiracy against her government. Recently, one of her party's Rajya Sabha MP was arrested by the CBI in connection to the Saradha chit fund scam. He became the second MP after Kunal Ghosh to land in trouble in connection to the case.

On Banerjee's accusations against the Centre, Shah said his party had nothing to say on the CBI's functioning but as an Opposition party, the BJP had every right to speak if the ruling party indulges in corruption, the report said.

Shah said the TMC chief used to do the same when she was in the Opposition. He also said the leader had demanded CBI probe whenever there were charges against the ruling Left, the report added. Banerjee said the Centre was using the CBI against her party after she attended the Jawaharlal Nehru anniversary programme organised by the Congress in New Delhi last week.

TMC MP Derek O'Brien also called National Security Adviser Ajit Doval as a "RSS sympathiser" and said the gameplan against his party was hatched in the RSS headquarters.
