How Amitabh Bachchan made Mamata Banerjee happy

Kolkata, Sept 7: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee seems to be impressed by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan who will inaugurate the 19th Kolkata International Film Festival. The City of Joy will be decked up on Nov 10 when the festival has been scheduled to be held.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief turned up to the social networking site Facebook where she wrote, "I am very happy and delighted to share with you all, that Shri Amitabh Bachchan ji, a great legend, has kindly accepted our invitation to inaugurate the 19th Kolkata International Film Festival to be held on 10th November, 2013."

The CM also informed that Mr Bachchan, who is also known as Big B, has assured her that his whole family would be present at the ceremony.

"I am also so pleased and obliged to learn that he is making efforts to bring along with him Jayaji, Abhishek and Aishwarya to this global event in Kolkata, for which we are eagerly waiting to welcome the ‘film family'. May God bless Amitabh ji and his family," added Ms Banerjee while writing in her Facebook wall.

Hailing Big B for his work in the Indian Cinema industry, Ms Banerjee wrote, "Amitabh Bachchan ji is phenomenon. His iconic personality and his august presence in the Film Festival once again, will surely make the occasion spectacular and magnificent. We are all looking forward to this mega event."
