Bengal polls: Mamata uses Facebook 360-degree video for rally
Kolkata, April 22: Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee used the Facebook 360-degree video for an election rally in Burdwan district earlier this week.
The leader, who posted the video on Facebook on Thursday (April 21), said the feature has been used for any election campaign in India for the first time ever.
"I am happy to share with all of you the new Facebook 360 degree video that is being used for the very first time ever, for any election campaign in India. Please watch some clips of a padyatra held earlier this week at Bardhaman town.
My salute to the Ma-Maati-Manush for their overwhelming enthusiasm and participation.
Yes, Trinamool is winning. আমরা জিতছি."
On April 13, Banerjee came online in Facebook for a Live chat in which she took question from the common man and replied.
The TMC is fighting a serious anti-incumbency this time, thanks to a series of corruption charges against some of its top leaders. The Left and the Congress, on the other hand, have reached an electoral understanding to topple the TMC regime and this has added to the latter's concern.
