The news made a big impact and even the Election Commission (EC) sought a report on the issue after it was telecast in various media channels. A team of the EC also visited the attacked family's house. The kid's injury was, however, not serious. Two persons were later arrested in this connection. [Finally, central forces meet expectations]

Her mother went ahead to cast her ballot despite the experience. She was seen going to the booth with her daughter.
