"Mamatadi has this unique skill of communication from roadshows, street corner meetings, big rallies to Facebook and twitter. She has this unique skill of communicating with the masses," TMC national spokesperson Derek O' Brien said.

Banerjee is a frequent user of Facebook and her page on the social media site has over 16 lakh likes. She also has almost three lakh followers on micro social networking site Twitter.

The TMC chief had a similar live chat on Facebook with journalist Madhu Trehan ahead of the Lok Sabha election of 2014 wherein she spoke on a range of topics related to politics.

An eyewash, says Opposition parties

The Left, Congress and BJP said the initiative was nothing but an eyewash. While one leader from the Opposition said the TMC supremo will answer to some pre-fixed questions, another said she will never reply questions that are not comfortable.
