In the wake of the arrest of West Bengal transport and sports minister Madan Mitra and the party's retaliation under the leadership of its chief and state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, all eyes are looking for Mukul Roy, TMC's general secretary and its number two, who is conspicuous by his absence when every other leader is on the roads. Even party insiders are not clear about Roy's whereabouts, reports said.
The former Union minister could though be connected over phone, a report published in Anandabazaar Patrika said. Roy said he was busy with party's work and was in Kolkata only. He spent the day at Nizam Palace but left in the evening, nobody knows where.
Sources in the party said the leadership has issued strict instructions on not revealing anything on Mukul Roy. Why? Nobody knows.
