Jammu: Pakistan Rangers fire at multiple locations in RS Pura
Meanwhile, Pakistan Rangers violated ceasefire at 50 locations in RS Pura Sector on Tuesday night.
The Rangers used 82mm mortar, heavy weaponry and automatics as they violated ceasefire at 50 locations leading to the death of one jawan. A senior BSF officer said that the fire exchange continued at many places on Wednesday morning.
One jawan was killed in Tuesday's ceasefire violation
The BSF resorted to the firing and heavy shelling, the officer said. During the day, they resorted to shelling at several Indian posts along he LoC in Harimpur and Bhimber Gali sub sectors of Poonch district.
In spite of Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde visiting Jammu on Tuesday to analyse the situation arising from the repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistan, the ceasefire didn't end.
Around 150 ceasefire violations have been reported this year so far amounting to the highest in the past 8 years.
