Nagrota will go to election on December 20, when the last phase of the assembly election will be held in the state.
Waffa said both the sitting MLA of Nagrota and the state government have ignored the constituency's problems related to power, water and roads. The people of the area have alleged that they suffered huge losses in the recent floods but the state government did not provide them with much compensation.
Waffa said if elected to power this time, the PDP would try to resolve the local problems on a priority basis.

The PDP leader said the three-year tenure of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed between 2002 and 2005 was a golden period of Jammu and Kashmir which saw big development. He said the PDP had worked for inclusive growth and development then.
Waffa also stressed that his party's agenda is not to attain power in the elections but to protect dignity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and ensure justice to all sections of the society.
