Judge hearing Asaram Bapu sexual assault case gets threatening letter
Jodhpur, Sept 27: The self-styled godman Asaram Bapu has been constantly under news ever since he was arrested on September 2 for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in his Jodhpur ashram.
Now, the latest reason to be in news for the jailed Asaram is that his followers have allegedly threatened the judge, who is hearing his case.
According to NDTV report, the sessions judge Manoj Kumar Vyas received a threatening letter which bored the seal from Karnataka, in which a message was written that he would have to suffer the consequences of "committing a grave sin by trapping the guru."
After receiving the threatening letter from Gulbarga, Karnataka, his security has been tightened.
The letter has been forwarded to the Jodhpur police commissioner and an investigation has been ordered into the case. Now, the police are trying to trace the sender of the postcard.
