#WorldHealthDay: How is Twitteratti celebrating?
Bengaluru, April 7: Every year 'World Health day' is observed on Thursday, April 7. This year the theme of World Heath Day is 'Beat Diabetes'.
Over 350 million people worldwide are suffering from diabetes and the number is likely to be doubled in the next 20 years. The main cause of diabetes is stress, unhealthy food habits, and lack of physical activities.
However, there are two forms of diabetes that is Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 is not preventable while the latter one can often be avoided. But one can reduce the risk of getting diabetes by following a healthy lifestyle.
India is the second largest pool of diabetes patients and around 70 million people are suffering from diabetes. Over 80 per cent middle-class people in India die due to diabetes.
Most of the people are unware about the fact that they are suffereing from diabetes. Many of them are unaware about the symptoms of diabetes.
Some common symptoms of diabetes are: Blurred vission, sudden loss of weight, frequent urination and an increase in hunger and thirst.
