Video: Brazilian prisoner takes judge hostage, threatens to set her on fire
Sau Paulo, Apr 1: In a shocking incident in Brazil, a prisoner poured fuel over a judge in Sao Paulo and even threatened to burn her to death if she didn't declare him innocent.
As per report published in Daily Mail, the accused was presented in the judge's office in connection with a case of assaulting his wife. The horrifying incident lasted for about 20 minutes and was filmed by a police officer.
The footage, which is going viral over social media, showed the judge being pinned to the ground at a court in Brazil as the man threatened to spark a lighter in his hand.
The culprit was identified as José dos Santos, 36, who grabbed Judge Tatiane Moreira Lima and took her hostage moments before his domestic abuse court case was about to begin.
After a struggle of around 20 minutes, cops finally managed to overpower the accussed, who reportedly intended to become Brazil's first suicide bomber, and rescue the judge.
According to Daily Mail report, the Sao Paulo's public security department told that the suspect has been released from the hospital after his arrest and has been transferred into medical care.
He will now undergo medical examinations and will be transferred to a holding prison once police investigation is completed.
