New Delhi, Oct 14: The Association of Indian students in the the University of Southern California kicked off their 20th year with a gala Dussera celebration. The Garba and Dandiya night was much awaited by one and all and everyone enjoyed the flavours galore from their homeland. The decoration was astute, full of vibrancy that represents India.

Being the first major event by the Association of Indian Students, the celebrations were a major hit, featuring Mansukh Geelani & Group.

The celebrations kick-started with Devi Puja at the USC's stunning Ballroom of Ronald Tutor Campus Center. Some of the other programs included a "best dress competition", which is awarded to the show stunners.

However, the highlight of the celebrations was the sympathy that students showed toward the survivors of the Jammu and Kashmir flood survivors. Students, teachers and faculty members generously collected funds for their countrymen and sent them to ndia Development and Relief Fund, a US-based public charity organization.
