US, Paris subway on IS militants radar, may carry out attacks: Iraq PM

Iraq PM: IS may carry out attacks in US
Baghdad, Sept 26: Islamic States of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) also known as Islamic State (IS) are likely to attack the subway systems in Pairs and United States, said Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi.

Abadi said that Iraq had credible intelligence inputs that the IS militants were going to carry out attacks on the subway systems in Paris and US.

However US and French officials have dismissed Abadi's claims stating that he didn't have any evidence to back up his claims.

In order to assure people that New York subway was safe, leaders took a ride in the subway. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo called for calm and assured that the authorities are working hard to keep the city safe from any possible attacks.
"The New York City subway system is safe. Go about your business - be prudent," Cuomo said, responding to the alarm created on Thursday by Abadi.

Abadi said that the plans were being plotted from inside Iraq by IS militants, who have captured many cities in Iraq.
