London, Jan 12: UK's media baron Rupert Murdoch is all set to get married for the fourth time. 84-year-old Murdoch recently announced his engagement to 59-year-old Jerry Hall, a model.
The couple began dating in Sept 2015, according to media reports. Octogenarian Murdoch reportedly proposed the former supermodel Jerry during the recently held 73rd Golden Globe Awards, after romancing her from last four months.
The billionaire businessman and the executive chairman of News Corporation, which owns The Times, announced the engagement news in the newspaper-owned by him.
Jerry has four children-- Elizabeth, Georgia (2 daughters), James,and Gabriel Jagger (2 sons) with her former boyfriend Mick Jagger, but they were never legally married.
Media mogul Murdoch is a father of six children-- Prudence (57) (from 1st marriage), Elisabeth (47), Lachlan (44), James (43) (from 2nd marriage), Grace (14) and Chloe Murdoch (12) (from 3rd marriage).
One of the Murdoch's sister and his niece had introduced Jerry to him in Australia. Both were first spotted together at the Rugby World Cup final at Twickenham in London, in Oct 2015.
Meanwhile, there wedding date has not been finalised yet.
Murdoch divorced his third wife, 46-year-old Wendi Deng in 2013, after 14 years of marriage, amid rumors she had fallen in love with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. [Murdoch files for divorce from third wife Wendi]
His first wife was Patricia Booker, a flight attendant from Melbourne (divorced in 1967 after married for 11 years) and second wife was Anna Torv, a journalist from Glasgow, with whom he divorced in 1999, after 32 years.
Deng walked away from Murdoch's life after $44million New York apartment, a $20million property in Beijing, in addition to undisclosed assets, as per alimony.
Before Jagger, Jerry had two boyfriends-- Brian Ferry and Roxy Music. Jerry parted ways with Jagger in 1999, after a 23-year-long relationship. After splitting with Jagger, she was romantically involved with younger men including George Waud, a film producer, Tim Attias, a banker from London, Warwick Hemsley, millionaire property tycoon Armand Leroi, a scientist. Australian-born Murdoch also owns The Sun, The Wall Street Journal and Fox Entertainment Group.
Jerry has a net worth estimated at $15 million.
