California, June 17: Days after a customer's shocking post on Facebook became viral, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) finally broke its silence. KFC now claimed that they have been trying to contact the customer, who had claimed that he was served fried rat, instead of fried chicken.
Thousand of questions have been posted on official Facebook page of KFC. In reply to all questions, KFC said, "KFC has made various attempts to contact this customer, but he is refusing to talk to us directly or through an attorney."
"Our chicken tenders often vary in size and shape, and we currently have no evidence to support this allegation. We have extended the opportunity to have an independent lab evaluate the product at our own expense, but the customer refuses to provide the product in question," added KFC in its official statement.
Earlier on June 12, Devorise Dixon posted the shocking image and video of a fried rat from KFC on social networking site Facebook. Dixon's post, which has become viral on social media, raised many questions regarding hygiene issues in KFC.
The customer, however, had claimed that the manager of the outlet, where he was served the "fried rat", had accepted that it was a rat not chicken. Now, KFC's statement puzzled everyone.
