Singapore: Indian wanted for wife's murder
Kaur worked as a beautician in Singapore. Her body was found floating in the Whampoa river on December 12-the head decapitated and her hands severed from the wrist. Police could identify the body through forensic tests.The couple hailed from Kurukshetra in Haryana.
Reports claim that Harvinder left Singapore through a checkpoint, just half an hour before his wife's body was found. Gursharan Kaur, 25, who is a fork lifter has been arrested on charges of Jasvinder 's murder. The accused has been remanded for psychiatric assessment. According to the police, Gursharan was a friend of Harvinder, who worked as a senior logistics co-ordinator.
Sources say that Gursharan killed his wife with the help of an unknown man between December 10 and 12. If convicted, he may face capital punishment. The case would be heard in court again on January 17.
