Shooting outside Chicago store, at least 2 injured

Chicago, Nov 29: At least two persons were injured in a shooting incident in the parking lot of a Kohl's store in Romeoville in Illinois around 10 pm on Thursday. Reports said the shooting took place after somebody stole clothing from the store and then fled towards a parked black sedan.

Reports added that a witness saw a police officer being dragged in the parking lot by the suspected shooter's car. The driver allegedly ignored orders to stop and dragged the officer, sources in the police said. Another officer standing nearby shot at the driver and injured him in the shoulder.

The injured officer and the driver were hospitalised although the injuries were not life threatening.

The black sedan, a Pontiac, was later found with bullet holes in one of its rear windows.
