Shocking! Australian chef 'cooked' parts of girlfriend's body, say reports
As per Australian police, "Human remains were found in an apartment" but refused to confirm that body parts were cooking on the stove.
As per an AFP report, authorities went to the home of the chef in an upmarket area of Brisbane on Saturday night after neighbours reported a terrible smell.
"Management were concerned about the welfare of some occupants," Detective Inspector Tom Armitt told AFP.
The man, identified as Marcus Peter Volke, fled the apartment when Police arrived. Shortly, after he fled the scene, his body was found nearby with a fatal self-inflicted throat wound.
The dead man was a chef who had worked on cruise ships. He had moved with his Indonesian girlfriend into the apartment a few days back.
Residents of that area reportedly said that they heard arguments coming from the apartment few days back and also reported about the foul smell coming from the apartment after which police reached the spot.
