I am not with my wife Sania Mirza, I miss her a lot: Shoaib Malik

Islamabad, April 15: Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik finally got a chance to celebrate the moment. His Indian wife Sania Mirza has become the World's No 1 tennis player.

Breaking his silence for the first time, Malik on Tuesday, April 14 was quoted as saying, I am extremely proud and overwhelmed with joy."

Malik, who plays cricket for Pakistan, also explained how his wife gave a chance to both India and Pakistan to be proud of her.

He said, "It's a matter of pride for Pakistan as she is my wife and, of course, she is from India and she represents her nation with 100 percent determination to be the best."

The cricketer also said that Sania's victory was the victory for all tennis players and tennis fans both in India and Pakistan.

The celebrity couple, who got married in 2010 following several controversies, currently live in Dubai. Malik also claimed that he misses Sania as she always travels across the world to play tennis.

He said, "I watch her matches, and also those of her rivals to keep up to date. Also since most of the time she is playing I'm not with her, I watch also because I miss her a lot."
