London, May 16: Pictures of Sadiq Khan's visit to a Hindu temple in London have gone viral on social media recently. Khan who grabbed international media attention after being elected as first Muslim mayor of London, visited Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden before being elected to the post.
Sadiq Khan, son of a bus driver, elected to the mayoral post after defeating Zac Goldsmith on the first week of May. He became first Muslim to head major western capital.
"Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden is one of my favourite places in London," he had said in a post on Facebook dated May 3, four days ahead of being elected with a thumping majority.
