Paris attackers 'wanted to enter' France's national stadium
Paris, Nov 16: Three suicide bombers who blew themselves up outside France's national stadium where Germany was playing France in a football friendly had wanted to enter the venue, French Sports Minister Thierry Braillard said on Sunday.
"They wanted to get inside the premises but were unable to," Braillard said on French television.
Were the Paris attacks planned in Belgium?
Around 80,000 spectators were watching the match, including President Francois Hollande when the attacks took place.
Hollande was later then escorted out of the stadium following which the spectators were evacuated from the stadium.
