Terror attack in Pakistan, yet again; suicide bomber targets police, 8 killed in Lahore
Lahore, Feb 17: At least eight people have been killed and many were injured when a suicide bomber targetted police in Lahore, Pakistan on Tuesday, Feb 17.
According to initial reports, a suicide bomber blew himself up at a hotel outside the police line in Lahore. The blast happened when a crucial meeting of the security officials was underway. Windows of nearby building broke and cars at nearby parking areas caught fire due to the explosion.
Rescue team reached the blast site and injured people have been rushed to hospitals. Security forces closed all roads leading to the blast site.
According to intelligence inputs, Lahore was on alert as terror threat was looming over it. Meanwhile, CCPO Lahore confirms eight people have been killed in the blast.
Nawaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, strongly condemns the bomb blast and extends condolences to the families of the deceased.
