Pakistan PM to raise issue of alleged Indian interference in country at UN, says Sartaj Aziz
Islamabad, July 31: Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sahrif will raise the issue of alleged involvement of Research and Analysis Wing's (RAW) in the country at the United Nations, said Prime Minister's Advisor on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz.
Pakistan earlier held RAW responsible for various terrorist activities" in the country.
"India had been informed that Pakistan had the capability to respond to any threat,"said Aziz.
He added that this issue would also be discussed when the two foreign advisors meet.
He said that the foreign secretary had raised the issue with his Indian counterpart during the foreign secretary level talks held in March this year.
'Pakistan will expose India at international level for stoking unrest on its soil'
Aziz also said that Kashmir issue must be resolved as per UN resolutions as Kashmir is the core issue in Pak-India talks.
Indian backing of insurgency in Balochistan was mentioned in a Pakistan-India joint statement issued after a meeting of their prime ministers in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt, in 2009, but Islamabad failed to follow it up with concrete proof.
Earlier this year, however, Islamabad decided to take a tougher approach towards India and forcefully raised its concerns over alleged Indian involvement in acts of terrorism in the country.
