More Shockers Coming Soon: Osama-like raids likely, Obama vows to destroy ISIS
The US President on Thursday, Sept 4 vowed to destroy ISIS. Obama's latest statement surfaced following a video which showed how ISIS killed a American journalist who was held as a hostage. This was the second consecutive killings in one week that Americans became victims.
Obama, while threatening the Islamic States, was quoted as saying, "The bottom line is this, our objective is clear and that is to degrade and destroy (Islamic State) so that it's no longer a threat not just to Iraq but also the region and to the United States."
Our reach is long and that justice will be served: Obama to ISIS
"Whatever these murderers think they will achieve with killing innocent Americans like Steven, they have already failed. They failed because, like people around the world, Americans are repulsed by their barbarism. We will not be intimidated," Obama added.
Continuing his statement, the US President also chided, "Those that make the mistake of harming Americans will learn that we will not forget and that our reach is long and that justice will be served."
However, Obama made it clear that Us's plan to destroy ISIS completely might take some time because of the power vacuum in Syria. US needs time to strengthen its army while making coalitions including with local Sunni communities in Islamic States in the Middle-East.
Meanwhile, British officials informed that British Prime Minister David Cameron has been examining every option to protect the British hostage who has been captured by the ISIS. Sources, informed that Cameron may become an ally to Obama to fight the militant group.
