One killed, three injured in Houston school violence

Houston, Sept 5: Campus violence returned back to Houston in a stabbing incident  where one student was killed and three were injured on Wednesday at a suburban high school, located north of Houston.

According to reports, one teenager has been arrested and charged with murder in the case. The incident, appraently was a gang related fight that broke out in the hallway, leading to the school cafeteria.

Harris County sheriff said, that the deceased was 17-year-old and that the injured were taken to a hospital for treatment. The stabbing occured at aournd 7.10 am and there was a physical altercation involving a 'cutting instrument.'

Post the attack, the school was locked down with the students inside and impatient parents, who waited outside. The parents complained that the school authorities didnt inform them about the incident for a very long time and that the initial reports of the incident came through the local news or text messages sent by their kids, from inside the school.

The school later during the day sent an email and text messages to the parents informing them about the incident.

The school has suspended all classes till next week.

This is the third stabbing incident reported from the area this year. Earlier, 14 people were stabbed but no one was killed at a community college in April this year . In another incident, three people were wounded in a shooting incident at another community college in February.
