But the individual had no idea what was unfolding in the next few hours.
Shortly after the 'Hi' came up, a 'Sup' appeared on the building across the street at 200 Hudson.
Both buildings located in Tribeca neighbourhood house a number of marketing and media agencies and all of them started contributing to the 'Post-It' war.
The battle of the creative minds finally ended it by putting up a giant "mic drop" at the windows. A group of workers stayed till late night to execute the design through all the floors to put up what became the final show in the battle.
However, the building managers were not impressed and asked both sides to stop it and take everything that they had put up down by the weekned.
The unique event happened in the last week of May.
