Nepal: Plane carrying 11 people crashes into mountains
Kathmandu, Feb 26: Plane carrying 11 people has reportedly crashed into mountains, two days after a small plane carrying 23 onboard crashed.
According to initial reports, the small passenger plane Air Kasthamandap plane was bound to Jumla from Nepalgunj. The ill-fated aircraft was trying to make an emergency landing at a field, when it developed a technical snag.
As per a report published in Kathmandu Post, the single engine 9N-AJB aircraft that flew from Nepalgunj to Jumla at 12:16pm with 11 people including 2 crew members crash landed at Chilkhaya.
The plane was being flown by Captain Dinesh Neupane and co-pilot Santosh Rana, the report added.
Meanwhile, a joint team of Nepal Police and Army have reached the crash site.
