High-profile people who met Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook headquarters before Narendra Modi

California, Sept 22: India and many other countries are looking forward towards Narendra Modi's scheduled US visit from Sept 23 to Sept 27. But most of the people are interested in Modi's scheduled visit to Facebook headquarters in California.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently announced that Prime Minister of India will visit the headquarters of the social networking site on Sept 27.

Writing on his Facebook wall, Zuckerberg wrote, "I'm excited to announce that Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India will be visiting Facebook HQ later this month for a Townhall Q&A."

"Prime Minister Modi and I will discuss how communities can work together to address social and economic challenges," Zuckerberg added while concluding his post.

This would be Narendra Modi's first time when he would visit the Facebook headquarters for a Townhall question and answer meeting. But for Zuckerber, this would not be the first time.

The Facebook CEO earlier had hosted many other world leaders including US President Barack Obama at the headquarters of the social networking site.

The list includes Barack Obama, Japan PM Shinzo Abe, Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Mexico's President Peña Nieto and many others.

US President Barack Obama with Mark Zuckerberg

US President Barack Obama had visited Facebook headquarters where CEO Mark Zuckerberg had welcomed him on April 20, 2011.

Obama and Zuckerberg had a Townhall question and answer meeting in Palo Alto, California. Modi too will be having similar kind of meeting with Zuckerberg.


Japan PM Shinzo Abe with Mark Zuckerberg

Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe too had visited Facebook headquarters.

Zuckerberg shared his image on his Facebook wall and wrote, "It was an honor to host Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan at Facebook."

"We discussed our economic impact on creating jobs and empowering small businesses in Japan. He even signed our wall, which is our tradition for all guests visiting Facebook."

Malaysian PM with Mark Zuckerberg

MalaysianPrime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had visited Facebook headquarters in 2013.

After his meeting with Zuckerberg, Razak had told that Facebook had expressed a willingness to work with the Malaysian Government on its efforts to further engage the people to learn more on what they wanted.

Zuckerberg once had hosted President of Mexico Peña Nieto at the headquarters of Facebook.

Writing about his meeting with Nieto, Zuckerberg wrote, "I enjoyed meeting Mexico's President Peña Nieto to talk about ways to work together on Internet.org to make affordable internet access available to everyone in Mexico.

The internet offers huge opportunities for Mexico, from helping to share its talent, culture and businesses with the world and making government services more efficient.

Only about half of Mexico's population is currently online, and the President and I agree that we need to do more to accelerate the growth of the internet in Mexico. I'm excited to see what we can do together."
