Mother of 4, charged for 'second-degree rape' of sleeping man in Seattle

Seattle, Sept 15: In a bizarre incident, a 26-year-old woman and a mother of four children, barged into a house and raped a man, who was asleep, in his apartment in West Seattle.

According to a report, the sensational incident is reported to have taken place last year on June 17, when a woman, identified as Chantae Gilman forced herself upon the sleeping victim, after pinning him down over his head.

The victim told police that after attending a birthday party late night, he felt asleep in his room. At around 2 pm, when he woke up, he was shocked to see a 5.7 feet tall and 240-pound (110 kg) woman above him. Then, he struggled to escape from the grasp of the rapist woman.

The victim in his statement said that the accused woman is known as a drug user in the area, and also added that he doesn't know her personally, except the fact that she is an acquaintance of a man in another duplex."

After a sexual assault examination, it was found that the DNA of the victim matched with that of accused woman, who was then charged for second-degree rape "for assaulting a victim 'incapable of consenting to sexual intercourse by reason of being physically helpless".

The woman, who is reportedly eight-month pregnant with her fifth child, was finally arrested on August 15 this year on rape charges.

Gilman, who has described herself has 'mentally ill' said she doesn't remember having sex with the victim. She will be indicted on Sept 22.

In the past, the accused woman has been involved in criminal cases like
attempted robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle.
