Moment of pride: India woman awarded for her dedicated service in Singapore
Singapore, Oct 26: An Indian woman from Indian state of Tamil Nadu, in Singapore has been awarded for her dedicated service to her employer in Singapore.
Woman, identified as Easwari Shellaiah, working in Singapore has bed honoured as model care giving domestic helper of the year by Asian Women's Welfare Association.
Easwari was choosen for this honour for her dedicated service to her bed-ridden employer 53 year-old Madam Kalaiselvi who suffered stroke in 2011.
She came to Singapore in 1986 through voluntary welfare organisation Swami Homes. Easwari, who is set to return India to take care of her ailing mother was getting paid 400 dollar in a month.

Easwari developed a habit of serving people at the age of 14 after death of her father. She started helping people at one of Mother Teresa's charities in Chennai.
