Islamabad, Aug 24: Mohammad Naved is a mystery today in Pakistan. Expectedly so, all possible evidence which even remotely connects him to the country has been successfully wiped out by Pakistan.

The National Investigation Agency which is probing the Udhampur terror attack has managed to establish that Naved is a Pakistani national. However to expect Pakistan to confirm the same would be expecting a bit too much and if one looks at the records today, Naved is a mystery man in that country.

Pak wipes out all evidence on Naved

Records wiped out:

The name of Mohammad Naved is registered in National Database and Registration Authority of Pakistan as Mohammad Yakub. The name which was present in the records until last week has been blanked out today. Even the names of his father and brothers is missing in the records.

Naved during the course of the investigation had given the numbers of his father and brother too. Today those numbers too are non-existent and it is clear that the Intelligence agencies in Pakistan have ensured that the same has been wiped out.

Further the family members of Naved who live in Faisalbad have been moved out of there. Naved's brother according to his own confession works in a government college. However those records too are non-existent as of today. They have either been moved out or blacked out from the records, an Intelligence Bureau official tracking the case informed.

Media warned to black out Naved news:

This time around the media in Pakistan has been cautious while playing out any news relating to Naved. When Ajmal Kasab had been arrested a couple of journalists had travelled to his home town and exposed to the world that he indeed was a resident of Pakistan.

However this time the Pakistani establishment has managed to convince the Pakistan media not to play out any news relating to Naved. Going anywhere close to his home in Faisalbad has been prohibited and the media too has towed the line this time around.

NIA probe will continue:

The NIA which is probing the case says that these are stumbling blocks, but will not affect their probe in any way. We never expected Pakistan to confirm any of the details to us, the officer says while adding that their job is to complete the probe and hand over evidence.

The NIA has already collected Naved's DNA samples and will send the same to Pakistan for verification. We do not expect any response from them, but it our job to send it anyway, the officer also added.

The NIA officer however added that their prime focus now would be to nab the two absconders. Two other persons had infiltrated into India with Naved and Noman, but are missing as of now.

The NIA is also investigating a handler by the name Abu Qasim who guided Naved to carry out the Udhampur attack. The investigation in relation to Naved is a crucial one as this would help expose the local module which has been helping Pakistani terrorists carry out attacks in India.
